After trying to find a badass baby shower gift for a friend who only wanted diapers, I created my first Cheeky Kake in my living room in Los Angeles.
Here’s the thing: as a single mom of two, I knew she needed the essentials, but I still wanted to give her a thoughtful gift. Truth be told, I am an over-the-top gifter, and I like to be extra when it comes to celebrating my loved ones. I'd seen diaper cakes before and always thought they were a great idea, but they looked very cheap and cheesy. I decided there had to be a way to make this great idea cool. So… I made my own.
